The U kalicha (“At the Chalice”) beer parlor, provided the setting for the humorously anti authoritarian activities of Schweik, immortalized by the novelist Jaroslav Hašek in The Good Soldier Schweik.

PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS:
1st Payment – 20% ($450 double; $770 single) due upon reservation. Reservations and deposits must be received no later than October 15, 2019. Once trip capacity is met, there will be a waitlist and new reservations may be accepted after Oct. 15th on a first come first serve basis. Full amount of the single occupancy charge is REQUIRED with first payment
2nd Payment – 40% ($900) due by November 1, 2019
3rd (Final) Payment – 40% ($900) due by December 20, 2019
All cancellations prior to November 1, 2019 will incur a $150 fee, unless the trip is canceled due to lack of interest. No refunds after November 10, 2019.
NOTE: If the euro to dollar exchange rate exceeds 1.15 at the time of the tour, we reserve the right to adjust the price accordingly. As of July 2019, the dollar to euro exchange rate range is 1.12 to 1.15. For every hundredth of a point above a 1.15 exchange rate, the price increases approximately $25 per person (double occupancy), and an additional $3 per person (single occupancy). For example, if the exchange rate goes to 1.16, the new cost of the tour would be $2,250 + $25 = $2,275 per person based on double occupancy, and if applicable, the single occupancy upcharge would additionally increase by $3 from $320 to $323.

Once we arrive in Munich, a charter bus will pick us up from the Munich Airport to take us to our hotel (Hotel Grauer Bar) in Innsbruck (~approximately 2 hour drive).
February 22-29, 2020
You will be provided with breakfast and dinner during your stay at Hotel Grauer Bar. Skiing, sightseeing, and other activities are at your own cost.
Not only is Innsbruck one of the best skiing locations in the Europe, but Innsbruck has many other activities to keep the non-skiers/boarders entertained. There are many interesting museums around Innsbruck, such as the Innsbruck Cultural Museum, the Historical Museum, and nearby castles and other historical sites to visit. There are regularly scheduled sightseeing buses that run to Salzburg, Munich, the Bavarian Castle of Mad King Ludwig and you can even take a day-trip to Venice, Italy.

A charter bus will pick us up from our hotel (Hotel Grauer Bar) and depart at 07:00 (7:00 AM) to take us to Prague (Hotel Mamaison Residence Old Town). Since the bus ride will take over 6 hours, we will stop in Ceske Budejovice and take a tour of the original Budweiser brewery and do a beer tasting. Tour and tasting will be approximately 2 hours. This stop includes a brewery tour, beer tasting, and sample of sourdough bread (included in the price of the trip).
February 29-March 4, 2020
You will be provided with breakfast during your stay at Hotel Mamaison Residence Old Town.
- February 29th – Arrive in the afternoon. Unpack and do some sightseeing on your own.
- March 1st – Meet in the front of the hotel (time TBD) for a walking tour of Prague (included in the price of the trip). The tour includes bus service from the old town to the castle, English Speaking guide, and entrance fee to the castle. Tour is ~3.5 hours.
- March 1st-4th – Explore Prague on your own and visit or re-visit some of its famous sites, including the Old Town Square, Prague Castle, Wenceslas Square, Charles Bridge, Dancing House, the Powder Tower, Old Town Hall, St. Vitus Cathedral, and Letna Park, and/or enjoy the city’s foodie or beer scene with all its delicious eateries and pubs.
